An injured Laxmibai refuses to get herself treated till Damodar recovers. Later, Laxmibai and Moropant are delighted when Damodar regains consciousness but their happiness is short-lived when they learn that he has lost his voice. Meanwhile, Raghunath informs Laxmibai that the enraged subjects of Jhansi want even the missionaries sent out of their kingdom because they believe that the missionaries had supported the East India Company in kidnapping Damodar. At the commissionerate, Ghaus Khan is unable to continue the fury of the mob at the commissionerate. Raghunath requests Moropant to pacify the subjects of Jhansi. When the news about Damodar losing his voice reaches the mob, their fury knows no bounds! Moropant intervenes and pleads them to support their queen in this time of crisis.
