Події розгортаються у Берліні у 1977 році. До відомої балетної школи приїздить на навчання американська танцівниця Сьюзі (Дакота Джонсон). Невдовзі вона розуміє, що окрім танців тут займаються речами, про які моторошно не тільки говорити, а навіть думати. Одна з танцівниць, що живе та навчається тут деякий час, ділиться зі Сьюзі своїми підозрами. Тепер, аби не стати наступною жертвою нелюдських розваг своїх наставниць, дівчина має якомога швидше розгадати їхню таємницю.

Сюжет
Рьота приїжджає до Берліна в пошуках кохання, але швидко розчаровується. Він знаходить притулок у самотнього японця Коїчі, і між ними виникає складний зв’язок. Поки Рьота шукає нові знайомства, Коїчі намагається зрозуміти власні почуття. Їхні стосунки стають історією про самотність, бажання та пошук близькості у чужому місті.

With mixed feelings they are heading towards the time when their spontaneous life comes to an end, which means they have to make one or more (life) decisions eventually. The current flat is a symbol for their own life scripts so far: unformed and all bets are off but it already starts to be uncomfortable. They spend the remaining days in their flat with friends, celebrations, discussions and the strong feeling for the dawning of a new era.

The area is one of the city's last remaining gaps between buildings. They decide to end their flat share as soon as the first trenches will be dug. With mixed feelings they are heading towards the time when their spontaneous life comes to an end, which means they have to make one or more (life) decisions eventually.
