Фільм розповідає історію Святого Петра, засновника християнської церкви і самого вірного послідовника Ісуса. Під час трагічних наслідків, які призвели до вироку і смерті Христа, Петро не чинить опір і відрікається від нього 3 рази. Однак у послідовника є дуже важливе завдання, яке перемагає його власні слабкості: зберігати єдність спільності і будувати, духовно і фізично, християнську церкву. Сила приходить до нього в момент воскресіння Христа, через 3 дні після його розп'яття. Так починається довгий і важкий шлях Петра - потім названого Святим - для розповсюдження скрізь сили християнського послання свого вчителя Ісуса Христа.
Сюжет
