Двоє героїв цієї картини, Боб і Бінг, залишають цивілізовані краї, тому що в протилежному випадку їх вільному життю настане кінець, а почнеться зовсім інше, з дружинами, до чого хлопці поки явно не готові. Вони влаштовуються нирцями, і одного разу доля закидає їх на острів поблизу Балі, де друзям належить познайомитися з принцесою і знайти справжні скарби.

A governor planning to run for U.S. Senate has a secret past that could prove damaging to his political aspirations: he's a convicted murderer, and that will come to light if the FBI does an investigative check on him. He goes to a local crime boss for help. The racketeer arranges for a low-level FBI employee to take the incriminating file from FBI headquarters, but then she is conveniently murdered. Jim Curtayne, formerly a successful criminal defense attorney and currently a recovering alcoholic, has turned to civil law because of his problems with the bottle, daughter Ginny delays marrying in order to keep her dad on the straight and narrow, but when the son of neighborhood friends is accused of murder, he is lured into returning to criminal law. Complications arise as the initially overconfident Curtayne experiences lapses inn memory and judgment as well as an uncooperative client. He finds himself well over his head as he tries to reclaim his self-confidence and professional standing.
