Laxmibai pulls Ellis's leg when he mistakes Ganga as the Queen of Jhansi. Ganga tells Laxmibai that she had only heard about the greatness of the Queen and is very pleased that she witnessed it too. Hirabai, whom Gangadhar considers as his elder sister, comes to Jhansi. Hirabai tells Gangadhar that the British have taken over Sambalpur. She tells Gangadhar that he should have an heir to protect Jhansi as the British do not consider adopted children as legal heirs. Hirabai taunts Laxmibai for not having the heir of Jhansi yet.
