Welcome to the 57th Episode of Collider’s Heroes, hosted by Jon Schnepp, with regular guests John Campea, Amy Dallen, and Robert Meyer Burnett. On this episode of Collider’s Heroes (Tuesday May 10th, 2016) we discuss: -Hot Toys mock up of the Heroes panel! -Wolverine 3 set as R-Rated future story -Captain America: Civil War record breaking opening weekend -Ben Affleck set as executive producer on Justice League -Kevin Feige talks getting Spider-Man back at Marvel -Minor Mutations -Flashback: X-Men: First Class -Spotlight: Shade the Changing Man Wolverine is set in the R-Rated Future / Next X-Men set in the 90’s Simon Kinberg recently revealed that the final Hugh Jackman Wolverine is set in the future and will be close to tone like a western. The movie is already filming and has been revealed to be R-Rated. Kinberg also mentioned that the next X-Men spinoff will be set in the 90s. Captain America: Civil War Opens Big So Captain America: Civil War made 181 million here in the states, making it the 5th highest grossing movie of all time; raking in $673 worldwide. People are buzzing about Civil War, but it didn’t make as much as many people projected. Is this the beginning of Superhero Fatigue, or is it something else? The Batman Now Executive Producing Justice League Oscar winner Ben Affleck is on the creative side of things as well as in front of the camera, currently shooting Justice League. And now, WB has appointed him Executive Producer. Deadline describes his duties as supporting Zack Snyder, and will help with the script; as well as certain aspects of the shoot and heavy post production. Kevin Feige Talks Spider-Man Back to Marvel After many years and many missed opportunities, Kevin Feige recently revealed how he got Spidey back into the MCU. He said, “The only way, the best way that we could help is if you let us do it for you. It stays a Sony character and Sony pays for it and Sony makes the profits from the film and it is marketed and distributed by the entire Sony team.” Kevin then talked about why they got Tom Holland, because they wanted a high school Peter Parker, as in beginning high school, and Holland did an incredible audition across from Robert Downey Jr. Minor Mutations Flashback - X-Men: First Class (2011) Spotlight: Shade the Changing Man Twitter Questions
