Розглядаючи минуле і теперішнє Риму, Джеп приходить до думки, що навколишній світ сильно змінився. Трансформація справила маніпуляції над цим місцем, воно стало спотворене сучасним смаками і звичаями. Колишню велич тепер служить лише декорацією.
