Сюжет

Псевдобіографічний фільм Іґоря Савчєнка про життя українського поета і художника Тараса Шевченка.

Фільм знімався у двох версіях моск. та українською мовами, різними дублями. Тобто моск. версія не дублювання української, а українська не дублювання моск. Це два різних повноцінних фільми. Зараз на телебаченні можна побачити моск. версію, до якої приписали доріжку української - помітна не лише несинхронна артикуляція, а і шуми, музика, довжина пауз, довші чи коротші фрази і таке інше. Чи збереглася українська версія – доступна інформація відсутня.

Сценарне доопрацювання (після смерті Савчєнка) зробив О.Корнійчук, який цькував Володимира Сосюру, та оспівував комунізм
