The act of a woman with a broken nose, who suddenly jumps out of a taxi and throws herself off the bridge in Belgrade, connects the lives of three witnesses. The suicide attempt becomes the existential catalyst to the misanthropist taxi-driver Gavrilo who tries to avoid any kind of emotional commitment, the school teacher Anica, stubbornly rejecting the attentions of one of her students, and the wacky pharmacist Biljana, who realizes that the man she's about to marry isn't The One. Each of them bears a wound from the past, a trauma they haven't yet found the courage to face. And it's here on the bridge, linking the old city with New Belgrade, that their road to recovery begins. Interwoven story becomes gently optimistic in its philosophy, yet remains credible throughout, deeply rooted in the reality and human nature.

This movie is mainly a love story, and the scenery is the first day of the civil war in ex Yugoslavia (June 1991). The main character is Ratko, an ex con, from some Bosnian "never go there" place. His most important characteristic is that he is colorblind, which gives him, in a symbolic way, the ability to see things differently than 'majority around him' (that is also an explanation of the movie title). On the beginning of the movie, Ratko will meet a city girl, who is a completely different person than him. On their strange voyage they will fall in love with each other and find the way to beat all differences.

The film tells the story of some folks in Serbia having to deal with the consequences of the war. Most of them don't have to go to the army (yet), but have to live between ruins with bombs falling nearly every day. Although the motto is surviving these days, they try to live a life as normal as possible to be up against the ugly face of war - each one on his own as it seems. One day someone has the idea to build up a basket for playing basketball. Although his idea is perceived as being fool in such times, soon all the youngsters and the older folks - parents and others watching the things going on in the streets - as well as a concurrent street gang are being attracted by the idea.
