Сюжет
50 рік до нашої ери. Великому Юлію Цезарю гірше гіркої редьки набридлило маленьке галльське село, її веселі і непокірні мешканці та їх чарівне зілля. Як знати, може бути вони і справді боги? Але Цезар не був би Цезарем, якби примирився з подібною єрессю. Він вирішує дати Астеріксу і його друзям дванадцять завдань, виконати які не під силу жодному смертному. Сказано-зроблено. Звичайно, часи Геркулеса давно пройшли. Але при чому Геркулес, якщо є Астерікс і Обелікс? Саме їм вождь села Життєстатистікс і доручає прийняти найясніший виклик. Друзям ж тільки те і треба - адже пригоди тривають, а значить веселе життя забезпечене!
