Надія учениці старшої школи Хітомі Канзакі на перший поцілунок зі своїм любим випаровується рівно в той момент, коли прямо перед нею в стовпі світла виникає юнак в незвичайному вбранні з мечем у руках, а вслід за ним і величезний дракон. Не без допомоги Хітомі дракон був переможений. Але трохи пізніше все той же таємничий світ переносить її з незнайомцем з Землі в чарівний світ Ґаї. А трохи пізніше з'ясовується, що таємничий мечник - принц Ван Сланзар де Фанел, одержимий ідеєю об'єднати країни Ґаї в боротьбі зі зловісною імперією Зайбах, і вирішує допомогти йому. Під час їхнього небезпечної, але захоплюючої подорожі Хітомі виявляє в собі приховані здібності, які почали даватися взнаки ще з їхньої першої зустрічі, а також намагається дізнатися справжнього Вана за завісами таємниць, якими він себе оточив, про його минуле і про гігантську машину Ескафлон.

To counteract this extreme measure, rebel colonies launch Operation: Meteor; an attempt to smuggle Mobile Suits made of Gundanium alloy to earth to combat the corruption and free earth and the colonies from Oz's control. One of these "Gundams" is piloted by Heero Yuy, who is shot down and is forced to blend in to enemy society. Now up against social issues with a girl named Relena and Oz and its puppets, Heero must unite with other rebels and save his people.
