Сюжет

Фільм розповідає реальну історію жахливого вбивці Альберта де Сальво. Незважаючи на те, що сам він був зразковим сім'янином і батьком двох дітей, він став вбивцею-маніяком і вбив тринадцять жінок. Відбувалося це в Бостоні з червня 1962 по січень 1964. Населення міста було дуже налякане, жінки не ходили по вулицях поодинці. Але після деякого зволікання поліції все ж таки вдалося натрапити на слід маніяка і заарештувати його.

In 1936, the witty columnist Sheilah Graham leaves her noble British fiancÃ© and travels in the Queen Mary from Southampton, England, to New York. She seeks out the editor of the North American Newspaper Alliance, John Wheeler, offering her services but he sends her to the Daily Mirror.
