Science researcher Hyeon-cheol demonstrates with co-workers against the company president, who stole an important semiconductor chip and is attempting to flee to the United States. Meanwhile, the company president makes his escape from the protesters in an ambulance. During his escape, the executive cuts a wound in his arm and implants the chip there. While, Hyeon-cheol and co-worker Han Jin-soo head for home, Han Jin-Soo is hit by a speeding car. Hyeon-cheol thinks it isn't an accident. He contacts Han Jin-Soo's daughter Dong-Hwa and they meet at the police station. After visiting her father at the hospital, Dong-Hwa becomes worried about how to pay for her father's hospital bills. On a TV at the hospital, they learn that the company president died from a heart attack. Hyeon-cheol and Dong-Hwa then come up with the idea to steal the body of the company president for ransom. Their plan goes somewhat according to plan, but Hyeon-cheol and Dong-Hwa soon realize that they didn't steal a corpse, but an actual live person Jin-oh!

When a thieving cyclist steals a purse from a pedestrian, clumsy, naive yet honest rookie policeman Sang-hwan gives chase, but it's the skilled specialist in martial arts, Wi-jin, who captures the criminal while severely injuring Sang-hwan. She brings Sang-hwan to her home, where five Masters of Tao heal him and find that he has a powerful c'hi (spiritual energy of the universe). He could be a powerful warrior. As Sang-hwan begins training to ascend to the level of a Maruchi (male Tao Master), the evil, ancient and ambitious Heuk-woon, accidentally released from his imprisonment, awakens. The powerful Heuk-woon attacks the masters, searching for a key that they protect, which would permit him to become an Arahan and dominate the world. When the masters are defeated, Sang-hwan and Wi-jin are the only and last hope of mankind.

Two brothers, Ho-jin and Dae-jin, were the only family they had. The older brother Ho-jin married Eun-soo, extending their family to three, and they all lived happy, tranquil days together. But one day, in spite of Ho-jin's objection, Dae-jin takes part in a car race finals. At the exact same time and in different places, both brothers get into a tragic accident and they both lose consciousness. One year later, a miracle unfolds when Dae-jin wakes up from his coma. But when he does, he claims that he's Ho-jin. After taking care of Dae-jin at the hospital, Eun-soo and Dae-jin go home and their life together begins. But Eun-soo is utterly confused as Dae-jin's way of talking, tastes and even habits are exactly like her husband's. Eun-soo has trouble accepting the fact that her husband's spirit has taken over Dae-jin's body, while Dae-jin tries to convince her that he's really her husband, Ho-jin. At first they live distantly from each other, but as time passes, they get closer. Eun-soo keeps noticing things about her husband from Dae-jin, but she persists on keeping a fine line between them as in-laws. Then Dae-jin weeps while recalling a memory that only Eun-soo and Ho-jin would know. Finally, Eun-soo breaks down the barrier she built, and accepts Dae-jin as her real husband. Feeling that it could've been a love lost forever, they begin a more passionate love, but the people around them look distastefully at their relationship.
