Це розповідь про добрих щирих людей. Загалом їх не назвеш невдахами, але щось у характері героїв заважає їм процвітати в кар'єрі, та й особисте життя до 30 років ще не влаштоване. Скромну і не дуже впевнену у собі Дженіс звільняють із роботи. Вона їде до молодшої сестри Джилл, куди більш характерної, ніж старша. Джилл, звичайно, дбатиме про влаштування майбутнього сестри, а поки що Дженіс знаходить собі роботу в зоопарку. На нову роботу в неї з'явиться друг. Його звати Том. Він просто прибиральник, а ще Том підробляє на вулиці, переодягнувшись у гігантську механічну людину. Том дуже відкритий веселий хлопець і йому сподобалася Дженіс. Молоді люди починають зустрічатись і тут з'являються той, який за всіма якостями – ідеальний чоловік. Що тепер робити Дженіс? Адже Джілл теж наполягає, що Даг ідеальний.
