Parolee Connie Drego gets home to find that the cop who arrested her has wed her eldest daughter.
Connie's first full day of freedom brings a visit from her parole officer and disappointment from a friend.
Connie and Sonny learn a few things about their own troubled youth while they try to persuade Kerri to stay in school.
Connie and Sonny agree to date other people.
Madeline and Duane plan to renew their wedding vows.
An old friend visits and sets his sights on dating Connie after hearing of her divorce from Sonny.
Duane is assigned to a new beat; Kerri tries to persuade Connie to buy her a car.
Madeline and Duane plan to have a child, but Connie isn't too happy about becoming a grandma.

When Connie's parents visit, she finds her minister father still hot under the collar about her arrest.
