Сюжет
Йоган Фальк — досвідчений поліцейський, який працює у Гетеборзі. У Святвечір він стає свідком збройного пограбування ювелірного магазину. Втручаючись у ситуацію, Фальк застрелює одного з грабіжників, але в результаті сам стає об’єктом розслідування, оскільки все вказує на перевищення повноважень. Крім того, один з грабіжників утікає, а сам Фальк опиняється під тиском медіа, керівництва та правосуддя. Троє свідків, у тому числі Гелен Андерссон, впізнають гангстера Лео Ґаута, якого звинувачують у злочинах, однак невдовзі Ґаут починає погрожувати свідкам, наражаючи їхні життя на небезпеку. Йогану доводиться розслідувати справу самостійно, щоб очистити своє ім’я і знайти справжніх злочинців.
