Одного разу, колишній боксер офіцер есесівець впізнає Саламо, і змушує його для розваги боксувати з іншими ув'язненими - здобувши перемогу, йому давали хліб, і так він мав можливість зі своєю сім'єю протриматися ще пару днів.
