Учасники залишають звичний світ гламурних подій і тренуються разом із професійними, подекуди авангардними трупами, опановуючи акробатику, трюки та сценічну витримку. Формат базується на португальському проєкті «Circus of the Celebrities» і є американською версією, не пов’язаною з однойменним австралійським серіалом 2005 року. Виробництвом займалася Endemol USA; виконавчим продюсером був Метт Куніц, співвиконавчим — Рік Рінгбакк. Попри медійний інтерес, 13 березня 2009 року офіційно підтвердили закриття, і другого сезону не планували. Шоу поєднувало змагання, драму тренувань і видовищні номери на арені.
