Mientras viaja en un autocar por las cercanÃas de Segovia, es testigo de la muerte por accidente de tráfico de un hombre, accidente que en realidad ha sido intencionado. Desde un primer momento, el padre Manolo sospecha que efectivamente dicho accidente ha sido provocado por alguien del entorno familiar de la vÃctima (la familia Espinosa) para asà cobrar la sustanciosa herencia, y, de este modo, se embarca por su cuenta y riesgo en una investigación privada...
