Приїхавши до Тоскани, дівчина раз у раз зідзвонюється зі своїм бойфрендом і шукає найменшу можливість, щоб якнайшвидше повернутися додому в США. Меггі була б зайнята лише вмовляннями дочки, якщо б не зустріла Луку (Рауль Бова). Пристрасний і ніжний, він один із найяскравіших спогадів її юності. Дівчина зрештою знаходить спосіб чкурнути, компанію їй склала непосидюча матір Луки, яка весь час мріє втекти від сина в Рим.
