Сюжет історії обертається навколо однієї невеликої кімнати під номером 104 в досить милому і прибраному готелі. За стільки років існування закладу, ця кімната побачила і стерпіла багато. Її стіни чули радощі, крики гніву, сльози і навіть погрози. Кого тільки доля не приносила в апартаменти 104. Тут неодноразово з'являлися багатії, які люблять смітити грошима на всі боки, а також часом, але все ж рідше заглядали і бідняки. Сьогодні у них ще були гроші на оплату номера, а завтра кишені порожні і знову вулиця, холод, байдужість перехожих. Але все це для кімнати дрібниці, до такого її стіни звикли, але пам'ятають вони страшніші справи, які пригнічують і лякають, колись навіть заьруднивши номер людською кров'ю.
