Молодий юнак Дієго Вега повертається з Іспанії до рідної Каліфорнії, де його батько був мером Лос-Анджелеса. Однак ті часи давно минули: зараз в цій місцевості заправляє новий мер - Луїс Квінтеро, якого підтримують війська капітана Естебана Паскаля.
