У маленькому фабричному містечку кіноманський порив дилетанта-оператора не залишається непоміченим, і ось вже Філіп стає особистим помічником місцевого партійного боса.З підвищенням по службі росте і слава любителя; тільки погляд його на реальність через об'єктив стає все більш неприємним і нещадним і таким, що все менш влаштовує можновладців.
Сюжет
Після народження дитини Філіп купує 8-міліметрову камеру і перші любительські досліди присвячує дочці.
