«На тому боці трава завжди зеленіша». Цей відомий вираз слугує натхненням множини рухів. Циклічного руху потоку в Аппенцеллі у Швейцарії, води якого піднімаються, коли починає танути сніг; руху, який спонукав Жулі та Фредді, батьків Пітера Меттлера, покинути рідну Швейцарію і поїхати в Онтаріо; або руху фільму вільної форми. «Як ви підготуєтеся, якщо нічого не планували?», — вигукує сусідка Мара.«Поки сходить зелена трава» стане надзвичайним 12-годинним фільмом, поділеним на сім частин, який почався у 2019 році. У формі аудіовізуального щоденника він проводить нас подіями останніх років, позначеними глобальною пандемією, але особливо — смертями режисерової матері, а потім батька, про які йдеться у цих двох показаних разом частинах. From Mars to Earth and underneath. Above and Below is a rough and rhythmic roller coaster ride seating five survivors in their daily hustle through an apocalyptic world. A journey of challenges and beauty in uncomfortable places: Rick & Cindy, Godfather Lalo in the flood channels deep down under the shiny strip of Sin City. Dave in the dry and lonesome Californian desert and April in simulation for a Mars mission in the Utah desert. Through the hustle, the pain and the laughs, we are whisked away to an unfamiliar world, yet quickly discover the souls we encounter are perhaps not that different from our own.
