На жаль, Брандо цього разу не продемонстрував нічого видатного, хоча й не заслужив “Золоту малину” за найгіршу роль другого плану, якою його відзначили. Краще було віддати цю нагороду Кілмеру, який виглядає у картині жахливо, особливо коли починає пародіювати Брандо. До речі, на зйомках актори сварилися, і Марлон навіть порадив молодшому колезі не плутати свій талант з розміром гаманця (Вела вважали великою зіркою після “Бетмена назавжди”, але усі його наступні фільми провалилися, в тому числі цей). Як не дивно, найбільше запам’ятовується епізодичний персонаж Дакаскоса.
