It is a story about the fate of the multigenerational Winny family, woven into the dramatic events of the 20th century. The action begins with the outbreak of WWI and ends after one hundred years, in modern times. The series tells an extremely emotional story about the strength of family ties, love, sacrifice and deeply hidden family secrets. It is also an insightful portrait of Polish society depicted against the background of the turbulent 100-year history of Polish statehood. The long years of WWI, the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1920, and the Spanish flu epidemic have severely affected the Winny family. In front of the family members and with their participation, an independent Polish state is reborn. Despite the differences in characters, professions, and the tragedies they face, they try to stay together. Years pass, the family elders die but support and mutual respect remain, becoming an inseparable part of the lives of future generations.

Фільм знятий за книгою "Твердиня шифрів", яку написав Богуслав Волошанський.Друга Світова війна, березень 1945 року. Співробітник польської розвідки працює в німецькому криптологічному підрозділі "Pers Z" в Еленя-Гурі під іменем капітана Йоганна Йорґа, фотографує транспорт з ракетами нового типу. При цьому він навіть не підозрює про важливість даної інформації. Фотографії попадають до рук союзників і викликають серйозні занепокоєння. На засекреченому об'єкті "Site Y" в Нью-Мексико, полковник Лінкольн Хейз, інформує Рузвельта про те, що радянські агенти, яким вдалося проникнути в лабораторії Лос-Аламосу, добралися вже до найважливіших державних таємниць. А їх повідомлення перехоплюють німці з допомогою дешифрувальної машини "Арарат". Таким чином, противник про все дізнається. Президент наказує за будь-якої ціни захопити німецький дешифрувальщик. Починається операція по захопленню "Арарату", найближче до якої знаходиться Йорґ. В операції бере участь і радянська розвідка, проінформована союзниками про наявність "Арарату". Про пошук дізнаються й німці, які евакуйовують її з Еленя-Гури в подземелля замку Чоха..

Сюжет
Фільм знятий за книгою "Твердиня шифрів", яку написав Богуслав Волошанський.Друга Світова війна, березень 1945 року. Співробітник польської розвідки працює в німецькому криптологічному підрозділі "Pers Z" в Еленя-Гурі під іменем капітана Йоганна Йорґа, фотографує транспорт з ракетами нового типу. При цьому він навіть не підозрює про важливість даної інформації. Фотографії попадають до рук союзників і викликають серйозні занепокоєння.
