While Hamelin is away, Saccard tries to seduce Line. Line finally realizes that she and her husband were pawns in Saccard's scheme, and she accuses him of stock fraud.

Формально вона звинувачується у чаклунстві, але до суду її тримають як військовополонену.Їй погрожують жорстокими знущанням, катуванням, хочуть лишити причащання. Допит продовжується цілий день. Дух Жанни д`Арк не був зломлений навіть перед самою стратою. Вона зустріла смерть на вогні, але так і не зізналась у своєму "злочині".
