Сорокап'ятирічного Гуальтеро покинула дружина: вона пішла до працюючого в цирку приборкувача левів, забравши з собою їх дочка. Допомога приходить у вигляді примари Мерилін Монро, дух якої герой викликає під час спіритичного сеансу. Проблема полягає в тому, що тільки Гуальтеро може бачити дух голлівудської зірки і розмовляти з нею. Спочатку герой впадає в паніку, адже його розповідям не вірять: ні в поліції, ні в кабінеті психолога. Але поступово чоловік розуміє, що спілкування з духом може піти йому на користь. І Мерилін допомагає Гуальтеро вилікувати розбите серце, даючи йому важливі поради з приводу того, як він може повернути дружину.
