Season 12 of Donald Trump's business-savvy series opens with 18 celebrity players creating and selling deli sandwiches. The star contestants include Arsenio Hall, Clay Aiken, Cheryl Tiegs, Debbie Gibson, Adam Carolla, Lisa Lampanelli and Penn Jillette.
The teams produce and perform a medieval-theme show for an audience, yet an insubordinate contestant and a serious injury mar the task.
The players have to produce themed living Lord and Taylor display windows featuring Ivanka trumps fashion line. The boys don't quite get women's fashion like the girls do.
The star players rev up to produce a live event spotlighting a new Buick vehicle, but one team is in danger of stalling out when the choice for project manager is questioned. Meanwhile, a deep division develops in the other team
The celebrity players are assigned to write and produce a viral video promoting a mop. It's risqué business when one team hatches a lusty concept. Meanwhile, serious divisions mar the other team.
The celebrities must host a launch party for a "mocktail" drink product. One team sets sail with a beach theme while the other produces an exotic Garden of Eden experience.
The celebrity teams delve into two tasks. In the first, they must design and sell a New York City guidebook, with Regis Philbin on hand to appraise the books. Then, they create an interactive health segment, but the task comes with a twist.
Fallout from a previous boardroom session results in one celebrity launching an emotional tirade and another one going missing. As for the challenge, the players must write, direct and produce a 60-second commercial for an entertainment Web site.
The remaining celebrities create original puppets for Henson's "Stuffed and Unstrung."
The celebrities must fashion an in-store display and create a slogan for a new fragrance. Business snafus unfold when two project managers spar and one team frets about an indecisive leader.
The stars must write and perform a 90-second jingle for a roadside-assistance program. But the task lacks harmony when mutinies and internal power plays mar both teams.
The remaining contestants produce a four-page print ad for a digital touch-screen hair dryer. Returning apprentices John Rich and Marlee Matlin then interview the final four celebrities, after which Donald Trump selects the final two players.
The final two contestants are tasked to create, host and sell tickets to a celebrity charity event that comes complete with a variety show and a charity-awareness ad. Eight previously eliminated stars return to help in the challenge.
The two finalists must successfully stage their celebrity charity event, after which the winning contestant is revealed.
