The Mesa de Adrián region, located between the towns of La Paya and Bailadores in the state of Mérida, bears witness to the birth of Luis Zambrano, on May 1, 1901. His inventiveness and passion led him to become a popular, innovative, and self-taught technologist, bringing electricity to remote communities in the Andean region for the first time. Awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Los Andes (ULA), his name can be found on the doors of the School of Mechanics at this institution. Until his death in 1990, he continued to work tirelessly on machines and artifacts that resembled beings from other eras.

.Un periodista se introduce clandestinamente en la celda de Miranda, en la Carraca el 10 de Julio de 1816. El joven periodista urge al generalísimo para que le conceda una entrevista, con el objeto de propagar su pensamiento anticolonialista en cierto periódico de vanguardia que se edita furtivamente en Cádiz. Miranda, viejo zorro de la geopolítica internacional desde el siglo pasado, desconfía del impetuoso muchacho, quien poco a poco se va ganando su confianza hasta que el cautivo accede a concederle la entrevista.Aquí comienza un viaje retrospectivo de la vida del generalísimo donde la vuelta al pasado, a los momentos formativos más trascendentes de la construcción del joven, del hombre, del seductor, del soldado español, del ilustrado, el desertor, el independentista, el político, el guerrero, el espía, el contrabandista, el hereje, el conspirador y el precursor, se narran para develarnos la magnitud de Francisco de Miranda, quizás por siempre el más universal de los venezolanos.

Por Estas Calles is a telenovela broadcast by Radio Caracas Televisión between 1992 and 1994. It was extremely popular in Venezuela, due to its very realistic approach to the day-to-day life of the country and local tone. It was the first Venezuelan program to give a realistic view of the corruption in political life, as well as the first to show the day-to-day life in the poor barrios. For example, it showed the impact on poor people's lives of the intermittent water supply, showing community meetings and lovers' trysts cut short by the news that the water was on, sending everyone running to fill storage tanks and barrels.It was considered by the Spanish edition of the magazine Rolling Stone as the 8th best show between the 100 Best TV Shows Ever in all Latin America. It is believed to be the longest telenovela ever produced in Venezuela.
