1942 рік, Білорусь окупована німцями. Головного героя, шляхового обхідника Сущеню, беруть у полон німці, але потім чомусь відпускають. Цей дивний випадок робить негативний вплив на життя Сущеня - односельці починають підозрювати його. У підсумку, загострення пристрастей доходить до того, що двоє чоловіків хапають бідолаху й тягнуть у ліс, що б там же його і стратити. Раптово, по дорозі в ліс, трійця потрапляє в засідку, влаштовану німцями, після якої виживають лише Сущень і один з його конвеєрів. Залишившись наодинці зі своїм пораненим охоронцем, герой намагається всіма способами довести, що він не винен.Сюжет
1942 рік, Білорусь окупована німцями. Головного героя, шляхового обхідника Сущеню, беруть у полон німці, але потім чомусь відпускають. Цей дивний випадок робить негативний вплив на життя Сущеня - односельці починають підозрювати його.
