Тото, справжнє ім'я — Антоніо Де Куртіс — італійський комік, актор театру і кіно, письменник, співак і автор пісень. В Італії на сьогодні він справедливо вважається одним з найвідоміших та шанованих італійських акторів, коміків і телеперсонажів минулого століття. Хоча Тото відомий як комік, йому вдалося реалізувати також драматичні образи.
Народився 15 лютого 1898 року, в Rione Sanità, бідному районі Неаполя. Позашлюбний син Анни Клементе (Anna Clemente) і маркіза Джузеппе де Куртіс (Giuseppe de ... Curtis), який юридично визнав його своїм сином у 1937 році. Totò is a tailor but not a great tailor. He is married and his son is to be baptized and Totò hopes that his grand-mother will be moved by the baptism, so moved to help him. Unfortunately his wet nurse Maria loses his son in the garden. Totò doesn't lose heart and rents Rita's daughter and leaves looking for his son. Many adventures are awaiting for him.
