Сюжет

У північно-сербському регіоні Воєводина завжди жили різні народи: серби, угорці, словаки, словенці, а також цигани, які сприймалися все-таки як маргінали в порівнянні з іншими місцевими мешканцями. Привабливий циган Бора з маленького містечка Сомбор неподалік кордону з Угорщиною — скупник гусячого пір’я. Він змагається за територію зі старшим Міртою. Незважаючи на те, що Бора одружений і має дітей, він більшість часу пиячить, грає в карти і волочиться за жінками, а понад усе — за молодою Тисою, падчеркою Мірти, який сам накинув на неї оком. Ворожнеча між Борою і Міртою через бізнес-конкуренцію, а головне через Тису призводить до трагічного наслідку.
