На його біду незабаром відбувається резонансне вбивство, за розслідування якого наш герой змушений взятися. Консульство Німеччини, безпосередньо зацікавлене у якнайшвидшому розкритті цього злочину, надсилає нашому герою в якості помічника і спостерігача поліцейського по імені Ульрик. Разом детективи намагаються вийти на слід вбивці, проте зробити це виявляється непросто.
