Сюжет
Вихователі сиротинця «Милосердя» мають прибутковий бізнес: вони влаштовують концерти для знаті. У Венеції XVIII століття жорсткі правила, тож дівчата під час виступів закривають обличчя масками і відгороджені від публіки ґратами. Адже потім треба їх вдало видати заміж. Коли прибутки бізнесу починають падати, власники приймають рішення найняти нового викладача. До монастиря прибуває талановитий, але нікому не відомий на той час, геній із поганою репутацією. Відлюдькуватий Вівальді, одержимий музикою, відразу руйнує старі порядки. Його новою фавориткою стає молода Чечилія, для якої музика є найбільшою пристрастю в житті. Єдине, чого вона хоче – це лишитись у стінах сиротинця і присвятити себе музиці. Але вихователі вже підготували для неї вигідну партію серед впливових осіб…

Two friends at opposite ends of the political spectrum, destined for a completely different future after founding the independent press agency Albatross together. Amerigo will discover his vocation as a journalist in a war zone, taking his life at just 34 years old in 1987 in Mozambique, filming his own death in subjective terms. Vito, on the other hand, will have an important career in the media.

Two friends at opposite ends of the political spectrum, destined for a completely different future after founding the independent press agency Albatross together. Amerigo will discover his vocation as a journalist in a war zone, taking his life at just 34 years old in 1987 in Mozambique, filming his own death in subjective terms. Vito, on the other hand, will have an important career in the media.

But when the eldest, Flavio, loses his life in an accident, the family falls apart: Elisabetta and Piero glare at each other and exchange ferocious jokes, unable to overcome that tragic event and not blame each other. It is the two remaining children, Dennis and Sara, who convince them to celebrate Christmas together in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the town where their maternal grandparents own a luxurious chalet. The two children have a plan, which will however be abruptly interrupted by an unexpected event. All the family dynamics will be called into question, and will keep everyone in suspense for a long night of waiting and reflections on the past.
