На початку 20-го століття двоє братів з Дикого Заходу полюбили одну і ту ж дівчину. Вона вибрала молодшого Елайджу, а старший брат Люк покинув батьківщину у пошуках щастя. Так він опинився на палаючих вогнем Балканах, «Дикому Сході» Європи, в повсталій проти турецького ярма Македонії.Люк очолив банду найманців зі всього світла, воюючих з повстанцями і виконуючих найбрудніші доручення своїх турецьких господарів.
