In a prefabricated house at the housing estate there live the Nováks and the Bartáceks. The members of both families lack spiritual values altogether. The highest life aim is to gain as much money as possible and to show the others that they are more "posh". Renek, son of the Nováks, a taxi-driver who drives only foreigners with the western currency invents for his parents a plan: he founds a club of the Nováks and every Novák is to send an enrollment fee of 5 crowns to the address of the grandfather of the Nováks who lives in a small house. Vše začíná jednoho večera v luxusním hotelu Excelsior, kde můžete potkat manžele Matoušovy a Janíkovy, Němce Hanse-Joachima Kirchmayera, číšníka Pepiho, pianistu Krofta, tajemného perského diplomata Mohameda Rasul Zade a samozřejmě ředitele hotelu Arneho Hnízda. Ti všichni se totiž vzápětí stanou podezřelými z vraždy, jejíž obětí se stala Dana Matoušová. Vyšetřování se ujímá inspektor Brůžek ze známé "mordparty", a když se případ ukáže komplikovanější než se zdálo, přichází také jeho kolega Bouše a jejich nadřízený, pan vrchní rada Vacátko.

After a soldier cuts off the arm of king's cousin, king decides to deactivate the army. Of course, generals don't like it at all and they try to kill the king. The assassin should be artificial body in the shape of actress Evelina Keleti and with brain of psychotic serial killer Fany Stubová. They also manage to kill king's astrologer Stuart Hampl, who warns the king. Accidentally, Hampl's brain is implanted into assassin's body, actress Keleti is killed and chaos begins.

There's a problem: after an injection of her elixir, dream elements become real. Rose learns this after dosing her husband Henry to stop his dreaming about Jessie, a curvaceous comic-book heroine who has anti-gravitational gloves he needs to study so he can solve a problem at the factory where he's chief engineer: Henry wakes up with Jessie asleep next to him pursued by a cowboy and a super hero. Jealousy consumes Rose. All this plus satire aimed at the Czechoslovak state.

And with the style of WEST SIDE STORY, puts music, color and emotion surrounding the born of a mate, first love in a youngs school, quite outdated and square. The movie ends better than "WEST SIDE" and even better than the sad czechoslovakian story. The scenes of the hops harvest to make the famous czech beer, the sky ever blue and all the conflict and debate that emerge in the czech society and inside of each member of the school, could have found an answer, flowering a little late in the so called czech spring.
