П'єр працює в банку й любить перукарку Жанет, але їй видається нудною любов з банкіром, що думає в першу чергу тільки про роботу. І одного разу, П'єра призначають тимчасовим заступником директора банку, поки сам директор йде у відпустку. І саме в цей час шахраї вирішують поцупити з банку важливі документи, але пильний П'єр помітивши це, кидається наздогін. Та під час гонитви він потрапляє на очі Жанет, і та, допетравши, що П'єр знайшов іншу, кидається в погоню за ним! І починається ланцюг неймовірних пригод і непорозумінь, у які потрапляють герої цієї дивовижної комедії!
