The world of fashion responds to Evaristo 'Evo' Jiménez as a renown gay fashion designer of women's clothing, but as documentarians film his newest season to record his creative process, they get dangerously close to discovering that he's slept with 322 women in the past eighteen months - and no men. Under advisement, Evo reluctantly agrees to seemingly date the handsome new office boy, Sandro, to keep his entrenched heterosexuality closeted. Confusion and violence arise when Sandro (who's gay and recovering from his lover's death) begins to respond to Evo's perceived advances.

The fictional Father Ãngel de la Cruz is based on Legion of Christfounder Marcial Maciel, whose long history of child abuse was not
addressed until 2006 and only publicly acknowledged in 2009.
But director Luis Urquiza chooses to structure his film through the
largely uncomprehending, wondering eyes of 13-year-old Julián, who
travels from the arms of his loving pastoral family into the austere,
hallowed halls of the seminary. Singling out the boy as his intimate
disciple, installing him in his palatial private quarters and redubbing
him “Sacramento Santos,†Father Ãngel begins Julian’s instruction
into the mysteries of “perfect obedience,†whose cardinal rule is:
Never question a superior’s actions.

Once upon a time, Juan Pérez, the poorest of the poor, reaches fame in a fluke accident in what seemed to be an attempt of suicide, to protest against the government and his social condition. The Ministry of Economy, surrounded by the scandal in which he is blamed by Pérez's decision, decides to reward him changing his life giving him a little house, a car and a job. But when other poor people (Pérez's close friends) find out about his reversal of fortune, decide to imitate him faking suicide attempts in different buildings in Mexico City. The Ministry of Economy, terrified by the glance of having a plague of beggars, decides to declare poverty a crime and hence finish for once and for all with all the poor in the country. Pérez ends up behind bars. Three years later, Pérez is released and goes back to his previous social condition, but this time, aware of having one day as a rich man is better than a life as poor, he will do anything to get out of his misery... And he will manage to do so!
