Better Off Ted is an American satirical situation comedy series, created by Victor Fresco, who also served as the show's Executive Producer. The series ran on the ABC network from March 18, 2009 to January 26, 2010.

Better Off Ted focuses on the protagonist, Ted Crisp, a single father and the well-respected and beloved head of a research and development department at the fictional, soulless conglomerate of Veridian Dynamics. Ted narrates the series' events by regularly breaking the fourth wall and directly addressing the audience as the show's on-camera narrator. Supporting characters include Ted's supervisor Veronica Palmer, co-worker and love interest Linda Zwordling, his daughter Rose, and laboratory scientists Phillip Myman and Lem Hewitt.

The series received critical acclaim, with particular praise going towards its witty and satirical humor. Its second season holds a score of 84 out of 100 on Metacritic. However, despite such positive feedback, the show's debut only drew in 5.64 million viewers and continued to have extremely low ratings. Although many expressed skepticism towards whether or not it would return, the show was renewed for a second season. On May 13, 2010, ABC officially canceled the series due to low viewing figures. Two episodes were unaired in the United States, but are available to view on Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand, Xbox Live Marketplace, and iTunes.

Сюжет

Доктор Хаус — блискучий фахівець у галузі захворювань нирок (нефрологія) і інфекційних хвороб, але через деякі особливості його характеру його не можна назвати улюбленцем пацієнтів і колег — він замкнутий, різкий і цинічний, схильний до мізантропії й бунтарства. Він не обтяжує себе дотриманням правил гарного тону й часом здається, що він повністю позбавлений почуття жалю (що, однак, невірно). Найкраще говорить про життєву позицію Хауса цитата доктора Формана: «Він не порушує правила, він їх ігнорує»; а також його улюблене твердження — «Усі брешуть». Як не дивно, саме цей підхід нерідко допомагає йому розібратися у найскладніших і неймовірних випадках, а значить урятувати життя ще одному пацієнтові.

Peep Show is an award-winning British sitcom starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb. The television programme is written by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, with additional material by Mitchell and Webb amongst others. It has been broadcast on Channel 4 since 2003. The show's eighth series makes it the longest-returning comedy in Channel 4 history. Stylistically, the show uses point of view shots with the thoughts of main characters Mark and Jeremy audible as voiceovers.

Peep Show follows the lives of two men from their twenties to thirties, Mark Corrigan, who has steady employment for most of the series, and Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne, an unemployed would-be musician. The pair met at the fictional Dartmouth University, and now share a flat in Croydon, South London. Mark is initially a loan manager at the fictional JLB Credit, later becoming a waiter, and then a bathroom supplies salesman. He is financially secure, but awkward and socially inept, with a pessimistic and cynical attitude. Jeremy, having split up with his girlfriend Big Suze prior to the first episode, now lives in Mark's spare room. He usually has a much more optimistic and energetic outlook on the world than Mark, yet his self-proclaimed talent as a musician has yet to be recognised, and he is not as popular or attractive as he would like to think himself, although he is more successful with the opposite sex than Mark.
