Сюжет
Мачуха і зведені сестри постійно знущаються з бідолашної Елли Сіндерс. Незабаром дівчина стає переможницею місцевого конкурсу краси та вирушає до Голлівуду, де їй обіцяли робоче місце в кіно. Проте після прибуття героїня з’ясовує, що конкурс був лише аферою, як і дані їй обіцянки про роботу. Щоправда, красуня не має наміру здаватися.
