Зате в звичайному житті Рей завжди чітко визначає, кому потрібно допомогти, а кого — провчити. У відносинах з дочкою і хворим братом він турботливий і чесний, з найкращим другом – відданий і чуйний, а ось вуличні хулігани, хами та інша нечемна челядь регулярно отримують від Шусміта дохідливі «роз’яснення», де вони були неправі. Його філософія проста: люди поводяться неналежно, тому що ми дозволяємо їм так себе вести. А якщо не дозволяти, то наступного разу ці засранці подумають двічі, перш ніж когось образити.
