Дія відбувається в північно-східному пригороді Парижа в період між груднем 1935 року й липнем 1936 року в епоху революційних змін, пов'язаних із правлінням Народного Фронту (який заснував перші платні вихідні й укорочений робочий тиждень). Троє безробітних артистів вирішуються захопити силою концертний зал, у якому колись вони виступали й організувати там концертний виступ.Сюжет
