Inspired by the folk tales passed on from one generation to another, 'Dus Tola' is a simply told story of victory of goodness over greed. The story is set in Sonapur, a quaint little town that has its share of eccentrics. Shankar (Manoj Bajpayee), the local goldsmith, is head-over-heels in love with his neighbor's daughter Suvarnalata (Aarti Chhabria) much to the chagrin of her father Daya Shastri (Dilip Prabahvalkar). Shastri is bent upon finding her a suitable groom from Dubai and cover her with gold at the wedding, which will help him climb up the social ladder. Armed with nothing but a heart of pure gold, Shankar sets out to overcome the obstacles of devious plots and heartache. Yogendra Yuvvraaj Singh lives a wealthy lifestyle along with 3 sons, Gyanesh - who is mentally unstable; Deven - a bully and slacker; and Danny - a Casanova. While he does tolerate Danny, he asks Deven to leave when the later assaults Gyanesh. Deven re-locates to Austria, meets with Anushka Banton, and both fall in love much to the chagrin of her dad, Dr. P.K. Banton, who wants her to wed, Daniel Mehta. When Yogendra suddenly passes away, Deven returns home to find that the household is run by his maternal uncle, Om Prakash, and his family. Одного разу її викрадають і відправляють працювати у бордель, але там її помічає шкільний учитель куди його змусив прийти його друг, він помічає дівчину і забирає до себе де виховує і допомагає.

D.K. Malhotra lives a comfortable lifestyle with his wife, Indu, and two school-going daughters, Pinky and Minni. He works in the office of an Architect. One day while the family is relaxing, D.K. gets a phone call that results in him bringing home a young school-going boy by the name of Rahul. Indu is shocked to learn that Rahul is D.K.'s son from another woman, Bhavana, who is no more. D.K. does his best to make Rahul comfortable, but fails. Rahul also feels that Indu does not really like him, though Pinky and Minni have taken to him in a big way. Finally, D.K. decides to admit Rahul in a boarding school in far off Nainital. Rahul reluctantly goes along with this new-found uncle/friend. It is when Rahul is asked to put his papers together for school that Rahul finds out that D.K. is his biological father. Watch what happens when Rahul disappears from D.K.'s house, and the impact this has on D.K., Indu, and her two daughters.
