Motte is 15 years old in the fall of 1977 and has to come to terms with the news that his best friend Bogi has to go to the hospital with a life-threatening illness. This is a seemingly impossible task, because his first love, his parents' impending divorce, his enthusiasm for Bowie and soccer, an omnipresent chimney sweep, and his anger at not being able to share all this with Bogi overwhelm Motte and lead him to make himself scarce at the hospital.

Hamburg, St. Pauli, New Year's Eve. Oskar Wrobel runs a music club in an old hospital at the edge of the Reeperbahn. While fireworks go off in the streets of St. Pauli, he prepares the big final party - the club has to close. Thankfully there is no time to think about it because the chaos is breaking into his living room, all while hell break loose at the club. The film, based on the novel by Tino Hanekamp, was filmed with hundreds of extras attending a real-life three-night-long party.

Christmas is approaching, and with it, the desire for harmony, beauty, light and hope. Being unable to cope with her parents' conflict, Alex (16) makes a radical decision. A day later she finds herself in the adolescent psychiatric emergency unit. There she meets three other young people: Lara (17), the striking daughter from an academic family, who's having acid flashbacks; shy Fedja (16), who is being bullied at school; and violent Timo (17), who has just been moved from the closed ward. Under the care of the young psychiatrist Dr. Wolff (38), they will spend a Christmas together that none of them will ever forget.
