Some immigration agents of Latin descent abuse their power, secretly hunting and killing migrants during their time off duty. Those who manage to survive the crossing face new forms of exploitation. Women who reach the United States are deceived and forced into prostitution in local bars, while the men encounter discrimination and rejection — even from members of their own community. To influence him, a woman working within the criminal network approaches Agent Ignacio Portillo — Rodolfo’s close friend — hoping he can persuade him to cooperate in exchange for a large sum of money. As pressure mounts and loyalties are tested, a critical mistake triggers a chain of events that leads to Rodolfo’s betrayal.
