Однак головна героїня Біргітте Нюборг, що є главою цієї партії, на превеликий подив Каспера відмовляється використовувати компрометуючі дані. Тоді він вирішує надати їх лідеру опозиційних сил – Мікеле Лаугенсену. Той із великим ентузіазмом використовує отриману інформацію на заключних теледебатах. Однак скандал, що розгорівся, призводить не тільки до нищівної поразки чинних політичних сил, але й вкрай негативно позначається на самому Лаугесені. У результаті цього партія помірних, яка була явним аутсайдером на виборах, отримує більшість у парламенті, а Біргітте Нюборг отримує право формувати уряд країни.
