Сюжет
Сайлас живе в майбутньому, в суспільстві, названому «Колектив». Мешканці цього сучасного світу - нове покоління людей, яких назвають «Рівними». Рівні - це мирні, спокійні, ввічливі і справедливі люди, і життя в «колективі» ідеальне. У ньому не існує ані бідності, ані жадібності, ані насильства, ані емоцій ... Але над суспільством нависає нова загроза: захворювання «SOS» або «Синдром Громадської Свідомості», жертви якого піддаються всьому, чого, як вони думали, уникли: депресія, вразливість , страх, любов. Якщо уряд знайде людину, заражену «SOS», її відразу ж заберуть у Нору, після чого цю людину вже ніхто і ніколи не побачить. Коли головний герой виявляє, що він теж заражений, він стає ізгоєм, але помічає одну людину, яка, як йому здається, розуміє через що йому доводиться проходити. В цей час уряд заявляє про те, що ліки від хвороби «включених емоцій» було знайдено, і головні герої змушені шукати засіб вижити.
