Vladik is spending his summer holidays with grandfather Yura again, when Viktor, a former diplomat and Vladik's grandfather by dad, suddenly appears in the village. He quickly finds a common language with the locals, gives his grandson expensive gifts and captivates him with stories about traveling around the world. Rivalry for the grandson's attention breaks out between the grandfathers - from caustic jokes to open confrontation.
