Areti, an award-winning architect at the construction company ERGAN, has lost her husband and is raising her 8-year-old son, Petrakis, who suffers from a serious illness, alone. For the operation that will save her son's life, she needs to immediately secure a very large sum of money. She turns to her businessman father-in-law, Petros Dayiannos - who considers her responsible for his son's death - and refuses to help. Time is running out, her efforts to raise the money end up fruitless and she is forced to ask for a loan from her employer, Odysseas Charitakis.
